Jack & Sherrie were married on March 6, 1981. Jack was a Captain in the US Air Force stationed at Mather AFB, CA. Sherrie was a single mom with 2 children, Chris and Jennifer. In 1983, after Jack left active duty, the family moved to Phoenix where Jack began flying for America West Airlines (now USAirways). Both of their children are now married, Chris & Amanda living in Gilbert; Jennifer & Ron-E living in Portland, Maine with their children.

Jack and Sherrie have been attending Calvary Chapel Tri-City since August 1983. Sherrie started serving in the Nursery in 1984 and then in 1992 began running the Sunday School until she stepped down in 2006. She is also the church’s Wedding Coordinator. Jack has been the friendly face greeting people and ushering since 1990. The couple began serving in the Marriage Ministry in early 2007.

The Marriage Ministry here at Calvary Chapel exists to minister to the needs of the flock. The Marriage Ministry helps strengthen the bonds of marriage by encouraging couples to come and enjoy solid Christian fellowship. Come out and get involved and see what the Lord is capable of doing! Call the Church office for information on the next Marriage Ministry event.

The Pastorate of Calvary Chapel Tri City strongly encourage a time of pre-marital counseling to prepare couples for the Joys and Trials of Marriage. Please contact Jack or Sherrie to make an appointment to begin this process as it may take 2 -3 months to complete the program. We also have time available for Marriage Counseling to help couples work through difficult times, please call for an appointment.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. Ephesians 31-33
