We Believe These Truths

power9

We believe in the inerrant Word of God, therefore, we teach, God’s Word, verse by verse.

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Psalm 12:6,7

We believe that the Cross of Jesus is the power of God Therefore, the teachings of this fellowship centers around the cross.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1Corinthians 1:18

We believe that Jesus was delivered to the cross for our transgressions and raised again by our Father for our justification. Therefore, we rejoice in the finished work of salvation by Jesus.

Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. Romans 4:25

We believe that salvation is a gift to us through God’s grace and that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Therefore, we rejoice in the security of the believer in Christ.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.Ephesians 2:8

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Romans 11:29

We believe that love is the fruit of the Holy Spirit therefore, we abide under His guidance that we may bear that fruit.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. John 15:4

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1 John 2:27

We believe that the bodily resurrection of Jesus not only testifies of our atonement but also guarantees that there is a day of Judgement coming upon the whole world therefore, we look for Jesus to come and deliver the church from the wrath to come.

Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. Acts 17:31

We believe in the Lord’s Supper as a remembrance of the finished work of Jesus therefore, we celebrate Lord Supper on the first and third Sundays of each month as we await His return.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come. 1Corinthians 11:26

We believe in the diversities of operations of the Holy Spirit by God, Therefore, we pray after every service, lay hands on and pray for the sick for healing, pray with the unbeliever for salvation and with the backslider for repentance, and for those who are seeking the power to be a witness for Christ we pray of the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 1Corinthians 12:7,6

We believe that the New Testament teaches us not to neglect the assembling of ourselves together. Therefore, we have an Agape Feast (pot luck) before our evening service the third Sunday of the month.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25

We believe in prayer therefore, we have Men’s Prayer on Saturday Morning at 8:00-9:00 a.m. in the Church Office. We also have a Men’s Prayer Saturday nights at 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the Church Office.
Ladies also have weekly prayer at the Study on Tuesday mornings beginning at 9 a.m..

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Luke 18:1

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

The Life of Christ

About the Life of Christ Series

The Life and Ministry of Jesus as it happened chronologically in the Bible.

The death and resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of our salvation. Our sins are paid for at the cross and our pardon is granted to us by His resurrection. The study of The Life of Jesus brings us spiritual growth.

As you study His life in the order that the events took place, a new world of understanding follows. We see Jesus as the Messiah doing exactly as His Father commanded. We see the linkage that all the events have together. The reason for the messages, the miracles the teachings come together in a wonderful, revelatory form.

You will learn of the milestone events and put them in order, the events leading up to and the events soon after come to memory. You will see Him as He lived and followed His Fathers will. This will help to understand the way God makes all things work together for my good. Faith grows as we grow in Him.

This study is a wonderful and exciting journey that was started a number of years ago by Pastor John. For those who would like to “relive” the Life and Ministry of Jesus from the very beginning, please visit www.JesusLifeandMinistry.com to watch all of the studies in this series.

Wilsey Kansas Youth Revival Crusade

Wilsey is a small town in the state of Kansas that has seen good times and bad times.  Like so many other small towns in middle America, it went from a thriving farming community to a virtual ghost town when many residents left the town for greener pastures.  Today, a small core of residents have been left to carry on.  In recent years, a small group of christians have purchased some of the buildings in the town and a renewal is underway.

In this way, Wilsey Kansas is a metaphor for our country and our own lives. We all need the renewing that only the Spirit of the Lord can bring.  It is also an interesting fact that Wilsey Kansas is almost “dead center” on the map of the United States and can be seen as the “heart” of the nation.  It is this renewing that we seek in our lives and the life of the town, our country and most of all, our youth.

As the town aged, many buildings fell into disrepair and require a good deal of “TLC” to bring them back to life.  This is the purpose of our Youth Crusade – to help the residents renew their town while bringing renewal to our lives as well.
