The Calvary Chapel Tri-City Junior High School Youth Group is constantly striving to provide fun and effective youth activities, ranging from sleep-overs to concerts to mission trips into Mexico and beyond. We also believe it is important to train up this generation in the teachings of Jesus Christ, therefore we encourage our youth to take a step of faith and get involved.

Meeting times

Wednesday: 6:30 p.m.
Worship & Bible study in Youth Center

Description

Let Israel rejoice in their maker, let the children of Zion, be joyful in their king.Psalm 149:2

I can’t think of anything more important in life, than to tell someone about the love of God. A love so deep, that he gave his only begotten son to die on a cross, for the sins of the world. The vision that God has given Megan and I for the junior high ministry is to introduce young men and women to the God of creation that loves them and wants to have a personal relationship with them, all the days of their lives.

To do this, we will teach them:

  1. To pray
  2. How to recognize their spiritual gifts, and how to use them to glorify God.
  3. How and where to search the scriptures for the answers to their questions about life.
  4. To use Jesus as their example as to how they should live their lives.

We believe that our youth need to have consistency in their lives, and as adults, we should also be examples to them, by being faithful to the ministry he has given us to do, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior.

Vision

The vision of the Senior High ministry at His Church, Calvary Chapel Tri-City, is to make disciples of the High school students, as we grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ together.

By the grace of God we will have verse by verse teachings through the entire Old and New Testaments, while encouraging the reading and studying of the Word individually as the youth draw near to God in their personal walk with Jesus.

LORD willing, lifting up our voices to God with one accord in prayer, supplication and of coming together in the unity of the Spirit for godly fellowship, praise, worship, and service to others in our service to God, while depending on the leading of the Holy Spirit whom the Father sends in Jesus’s name, teaching us all things, whom the same shall impower us to be witnesses for Jesus’ name.

When

Sunday: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday: 6:30 p.m.

Where

All youth activities are held in the Calvary Chapel Youth Center.

Mission Statement

We are committed to the children.By the power of the Holy Spirit and in the Love of Jesus:

1. We are committed to praying for the children.
“Praying constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the wonderful future he has promised to those he called. I want you to realize what a rich and glorious inheritance he has given to his people.”
Ephesians 1:16-19

2. We are committed to encouraging children into a personal, loving relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior.
“But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

3. We are committed to teaching children the Word of God.
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

4. We are committed to teaching real life application of God’s Word in the lives of children.

“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man whichbuilt his house upon a rock.” Matthew 7:24

Description

The Calvary Chapel Tri-City Food Bank Ministry exists to minister to the needs of the Body of Christ. We believe that the Word of God should be taken literally when it tells us:

“But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?” John 3:17

We believe in serving the Body of Christ here at Calvary Chapel Tri-City and strive to help those in need.

Phil and Annette Grinevitch began worshiping at Calvary Chapel Tri-City in August of 1987 and have seen Calvary Tri-City grow from a small fellowship that met in a warehouse “in the alley” to an international fellowship of believers tied together thru the internet and other media outreach.

Pastor John, was used by the Lord in the “Jesus people movement” to help bring thousands of young people to Jesus Christ back in the ’60s. Today, that same Spirit has lead Pastor John to reach out thru the internet. Our online bookstore and other media ministries are dedicated to spreading the message of salvation via every means available.

Music & Worship Ministry

Music and Worship Ministry

Jesus seeks out those who will worship in truth and in spirit. We believe that worship should be a part of our daily walk and not just something we do on Sunday mornings. We offer many opportunities to join in worship – whether it be praising God with all your heart as a part of the church body or using the gifts that the Lord has given you as a part of the Music team.

We believe that our musicians and singers should desire, more than anything else, to see God glorified. We should be passionate about seeing His greatness proclaimed. For this reason we ask that our musicians and singers be devoted to spiritual discipline and the study of God’s Word.

“Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery [and] an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.” Psalm 33:2-3
